Mr. Miller is a local business owner in addition to being a managing partner with Miller & Associates, and resides in Granite Bay, CA with his wife and son. Mr. Miller is dedicated to the practice of divorce and family law. His practice is focused to divorce and family law litigation and mediation.
Mr. Miller has worked in the divorce and family law field since 1996 in both administrative and legal capacities, and is surrounded by legal professionals in his family. Mr. Miller’s wife, brother, brother-in-law, mother, stepfather, and various step-siblings are all attorneys practicing in Sacramento/Placer/El Dorado Counties. His family members practice in areas of divorce, family law, juvenile dependency, real estate, and administrative law, either for private law firms or for the state and local counties.
Mr. Miller graduated from University of California, Davis where he studied business and international relations. He was then immediately admitted to University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law where he focused his studies in family law, business law, and real estate law. Mr. Miller was a unique law student in that he became qualified to represent low income clients in divorce and business related matters as soon as his second year in law school. This allowed him to litigate Sacramento County cases at a young age.
Mr. Miller’s extensive personal experience in business and commercial/residential real estate investing throughout the country, combined with his legal training, make him a critical asset for clients looking for a divorce and family law attorney to properly handle the income and valuation issues related to their business or real estate whether in Court or during mediation. Divorce or child support cases dealing with businesses or real estate require an attorney that has experience with business valuations, analyzing financial statements and tax returns, and properly calculating income available for support. As it relates to custody issues, Mr. Miller grew up personally experiencing the dynamics and complications of divorce, and is therefore dedicated to making the divorce process as peaceful as possible for both his clients and their minor children.
